Nampak supports a variety of charities

As part of our philosophy of encouraging employee involvement, we empower each of our sites to nominate a charity of their own choice instead of selecting one company-wide corporate charity.

We believe that the charities which we choose to support should be of local relevance and reflect the interests of each site’s employees. Accordingly, employees at each site select the charities they want to support.

Event participation and sponsorship
Recent fund raising organised at Nampak sites has included participation in the Bupa Great North Run, Milton Keynes Dragon Boat Festival and the British Heart Foundation London to Brighton bike ride. Each site also organises fund raising events to raise money for its chosen charities, including local hospices.

We were a gold sponsor of Buckinghamshire Family Information Service Young People of the Year awards 2010 which recognises the contribution young people make—to their families, to their communities and to society as a whole.

We support selected Prince’s Trust projects. A team will be entered into the Prince’s Trust Million Makers fundraising competition which sets employees from businesses nationwide the challenge of raising £1 million to change young lives through enterprise initiatives. It also sponsors employees to participate in and support the Prince’s Trust Team Programme—a personal development course for unemployed young people.
